The City of Mission Viejo’s Park Recreation and Community Services Department currently operates eight recreation and community center facilities, 53 parks and trails totaling 800 acres of natural open space, and a dog park. There are seven community parks in the area, all of which have lighted baseball and soccer fields. Lake Mission Viejo is a 124-acre private man-made recreational lake with sailing, swimming, fishing, and picnicking opportunities.
