Hey there, Mission Viejo! Are you ready for some fun and learning? The Mission Viejo Library is all set to host an amazing STEAM Week from April 7 to April 11, 2025, and it promises to be an adventure for kids aged 8 and up! This year’s STEAM Week is featuring some of our community’s finest first responders. Kids will get the chance to meet and interact with the professionals from the:
Each day of the week, these brave individuals will lead interactive presentations that delve into various exciting topics. From learning about the Crime Lab and the Bomb Squad to getting the inside scoop on Motor Patrol and more, students will be in for a treat! These are not just lectures; these are hands-on experiences that inspire and educate.
Starting each day at 9 AM and wrapping up by noon, the presentations will take place both inside the comfy confines of the library’s Storytime Room and outdoors in the beautiful Kershaw Garden. This mix of indoor and outdoor activities ensures that kids have the best experience possible, learning about how our local responders keep us safe and sound!
To participate in this incredible week of learning, registration is mandatory. Don’t miss out—spaces are limited, and children are expected to attend each day of the program to fully benefit from everything offered. But here’s the best part: STEAM Week is completely free!
As many of these first responders are on active duty, there may be instances where an officer needs to leave early. But fear not! The library has planned alternative activities to ensure that all kids will have a fantastic time, regardless of changes to the schedule!
